What are the deadlines to register?

When will I receive notification of my accepted abstract or session proposal?

Abstract notification letters will be sent via email in late February 2013. Postgraduate course notification letters will be sent via email in late December 2012. Session proposal notification letters will be sent via email in February 2013.


Can I register for Postgraduate Courses, Meet the Professor sessions and Lunch Debate sessions on site?

Yes; if space is available you can register on-site for Postgraduate Courses, Meet the Professor sessions and Lunch Debate sessions. Advanced registration is encouraged because many of these sessions sell out quickly. Availability is not guaranteed.


What is the cancellation policy?

All notices of cancellation must be received in writing. The date of receipt of such notice will be used as the official cancellation/reduction date. Notices received prior to May 2, 2013, will incur a penalty equal to 20% of the total contracted space costs. Refunds will not be given for cancellations/reductions received after May 2, 2013.


Can I register for Postgraduate Courses, Meet the Professor sessions or Lunch Debate sessions without registering for the SLEEP 2013 general session?

Registration for the general session is required to attend all Postgraduate Courses, Meet the Professor sessions and Lunch Debate sessions. No exceptions will be made to this policy. Registration fees for these sessions are in addition to the general session registration fee.

The APSS welcomes abstract submissions for SLEEP 2013. Please refer to the Call for Abstracts and Session Proposals for abstract submission guidelines, and submit your abstract using the designated submission site on or before December 17, 2012.

Taxi stands are located outside each terminal at Baltimore-Washington International Airport (BWI). Average fare to Baltimore’s Inner Harbor is approximately $25-35 and the ride is approximately 15-20 minutes depending on traffic conditions and your destination.

How do I make hotel reservations?

All hotel reservations must be made via the SLEEP 2013 Housing Bureau, which will open in January 2013. The Housing Bureau will accept online, fax or mailed registrations. Additional information will be posted on the SLEEP 2013 website in January.


How do I receive CME credits or a letter of attendance?

To receive CME credits or a letter of attendance, SLEEP 2013 attendees must register for CME credit. The administration fees are $20 for AASM Members and $35 for nonmembers. Individuals must complete an online evaluation form to receive CME credit or a letter of attendance. Once the evaluation form is complete and the credits have been verified, there will be a link at the bottom of your event page that will enable you to receive the certificate or letter of attendance by email. Further information will be detailed on the CME Reference Form included with your registration materials.


Can attendees with exhibitor hall passes only get into the general sessions?

No. Exhibit hall-only passes will only enable access to the exhibit hall. Full-meeting badges are required to attend the genreal sessions. Each exhibiting company will receive one complimentary full-meeting badge. More information can be found within the Exhibitor Prospectus.


Are exhibit booths carpeted?

The exhibit hall is concrete flooring. The APSS requires all exhibit booths to be carpeted. The APSS does not provide carpeting, which must be ordered in advance through the official meeting decorator, Freeman Decorating. The aisles will be carpeted in tuxedo. The drape colors are green and white.
When can I start installing and dismantling my booth?

Exhibit installation will begin on Saturday, June 1 from 12:30pm until 5:00pm, and continue on Sunday, June 2 from 8:00am until 5:00pm. All crates and carts must be removed from the exhibit hall by 5:00pm on Sunday. Exhibit dismantling may not begin before 2:00pm on Wednesday, June 5 and must be completed by 12:00pm on Thursday, June 6. Additional information on assembling/dismantling can be found in the Exhibitor Prospectus.
How does my company/organization apply for an exhibit booth?
